Test Write

Been sometime since writing good thing. So I guess this post wont do much good impact on reader's perspective on looking for something good to read. But well, let me tell you something.

When I was a kid, there's this thing/object/subject/book/thing call Yellow Pages book, and at certain edition they would inserted this catalogue of old dial telephone models provided by Internet/Telephony Service Providers.

I love to watch all the designs recommended there. Got this one with very futuristic model, the one that is blue-ish and visible to the inside kinda look like Alien tech with wires of green and yellow visible and really attracted the attention of those who were living in the 90's if they are looking for a way to impress themselves while picking up the phone or calling whoever they wanted with the telephone. Till now I am still excited about the design. Too bad, phone models like that are replace with a much more cordless or wireless one.

Then I looked to the one used in the premise/house, the usual classic with curly wires and the one that you would hear "cracking things" when the other party or person hang up on you. It's not that bad, friendlier, familiar, and much more, what do normal people would say, uhh, ah, umm, uhmm, touchable? is it?.

Yeah same like the one you would hear when someone is using public phone to call you and then hang up, just like in classic movies, you would hear their sound engineer kinda push the sound up to your ears, the crackling sound "prerppreprepreprpperp", much more noticeable when the scene is in a romantic movie, kinda wanna show the audiences how the romance breaks with just a hung up call from either one of the pair of lover.

Talk about Yellow Pages, at times when I was having a very boring time of spending doing nothing, I would check up on the lists of names and telephone numbers listed there, and call the owner. Pranking with saying "hey stupid idiot" "you/your son owed me certain sum of money" etc etc "pay up or you'll regret later" until one time I got a callback saying that they called about the matter of problem I've caused because their telephone already have the number of the caller prompted on a MUCH more modern and digitalised service, yeah, like the one now used on an LED counter of a Pizza Hut. How I was stupid litthe idiot at that time.

This and that happened, Anwar Ibrahim became Malaysia's 10th Prime Minister recently. I really missed the 90's back when I was a kid back then. But him, Anwar Ibrahim went through a painful times back then. Funny how things turn out this way, on times that we really needed someone to sit on that PM chair to handle all the problem arise due to stupidity of people with authority and do not know how to handle their job properly, and also, the pandemic of Covid-19 is still revolving about newly-attached parts of the virus kind of like Transformers to kill pedestrians who do not know how to handle their hygiene and eating random things such as rats, cats and bats just for the sake of tastes and boredom to the max.

One time I was in love with a girl when I was 7/8/9 years old back then, I even searched the name of her father in the Yellow Pages just to get her house telephone number, but do nothing since I do not know how to introduce myself that I'm calling just to get her attention and to disturb her since we are not that close or perhaps she doesn't even admire me as much as I like her. Idk. Maybe my hormones developed much more earlier than girls at that time or maybe it's my instinct as a boy to search for love at such an early age.

But the best thing I could do is, call her house and wait and listen until she picks up, and then, drop the phone and hang up cause I got nothing better to do than just feeling excited of disturbing the monkey I'm in love with, or at least, that's what they called, monkey love at such a non-puberty age. Then at school, I acted like nothing has ever happened. Me?. I'm not a monkey too, as I have feelings. At least, that's the way I express my feelings.

And there's this thing called "Future". I see no pasts if I see no future. I cannot see me if I don't see the other.

Stock

In my place, it's been raining cats and dogs lately at night. I sometimes creep on the window to peek at the outside or under the light-post, how's there, what's there and what's there.

I've always had a superstition of, like, when it's raining and you see cats and dogs running in the rain, chances for you to meet ghosts are high.

Never met them and never seen cats and dogs running around under a heavy rain. Not that I wish to see one but the saying kinda reminds me of when you see something weird it maybe a sign of something more weird.

And sometimes words bring some meaning into it. You know, words.

Such as:

1. hantu Ali memberinya berkepuk duit RM100 sebanyak RM1,000.

Kacang lupakan kulit, tiada gunanya. It's like a credit card advertisement speech, try reading it with the tone. XD

Kita seperti kacang yang isinya adalah roh dan berkulit; diuli oleh Tuhan daripada tanah maka terlengkaplah sebiji kacang. (If you're on weed, it'll complete the reading experience).

See you when I see you.

The Mystery of An Englishman

This story was read during I was a kid through a comic-styled in a book called "Kawan" on the Mystery section.

It is a story during an old time when a man from an English family had to travel to outside of the country to do a business leaving his family behind, a wife and two kids, a boy and a girl. Unsure it is a time of war or a moment of exploring continents for civilisation for the country.

The man leaving his family with saying goodbyes and bid farewell leaving on horse-carriage. He said he will be back after 2 months or 2 years or so.

Moments passed and one day while his son is playing at the back of the house, the man surprised his son and greets him like how a kid have never met his father for a long time, crying. His father appears with a smile and talk to him just like usual. After sometime, after he calms down his son, and after a short brief of conversation of asking how's his mother doing, how his sister is doing and all, they are both greeted by the sound of a horse-carriage arriving to the family's house.

The son run to the front of the house shouting "mom, somebody's arriving here!" while her mom and her sister is somewhere inside the house doing house activity.

"Mummy look! It's dad's carriage. He's back now mum!" - shout the boy. The mother rushes outside of the house to greet the visitors and so is her daughter.

"I'm sorry, madam" - said the carriage rider alongside with his partner on the ride.
"I have a terrible news to inform you". But just as before he could finish his words, the boy abruptly interrupt his speak.

"Uncle, dad is on the back of the house. He has been waiting for us!. I wonder how could you be so late with the horse-carriage!" said the boy.

"That is not possible!" - startled the rider.

"It's true. Come, I will show you dad is on the back waiting for us to greet him. I just met him just now and we have a chat and he is taking a rest at the back of the house!" - replied the boy.

The rider and the boy run to the back of the house, founding nothing as a prove of the man's  existence. The rider then with a very sad, almost-crying face, informed the family of the real news.

The mother cried and stumbled upon to the ground after hearing the sad news. The boy denies it and tries his best to tell them that what he said was true. All of it, like a persistent boy he was until he cried and got no words to utter. All of them cried on the spot, confused and dumbfounded by the things that happened that very moment.

The Englishman died sometime ago on his way back from his travel. That is the news that the rider brought and alongside the carriage is his remainings in a casket. The carriage-rider showed the Englishman's body to the family, stiff and soulless, as he died sometime ago from on his way back from the travel.

They all are confused of who appeared to the boy before the arrival of the horse-carriage and that includes me and you who are reading this.

And that concludes the story. It is unknown who appeared to the boy either the man's spirit or a form of soul-travel wanting to meet his family for the last time.

It is unknown whether this is based on a real tragedy that happened or it's just the artist's imagination, but it is a story that kept me wondering and to be confused about, sometimes gives me the creeps and to me, it is a good story to be shared than to be kept dead.

But dont wonder the unknown so much, cause it might eat you in a negative way, and let this story affects you in a bad situation.

Great spiritual and mind makes you a person. Your mother doesn't raise you to be a ghost, or a dead person.
